Maison Margiela
A graduate of the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Antwerp, Martin Margiela founded the eponymous brand in 1988. The Parisian debut in 1989 marked a new era consecrating Martin Margiela as spokesperson for the avant-garde wave that marked Belgian fashion. Indeed, the brand definitely transformed the aesthetics of the time. An impeccable brand, starting with its trademark, the white color. The iconic white is used for the staff blouse, for painting the Maison Martin Margiela headquarter building and for its furniture. The white color is also used for the iconic stitching points with which the label is welded on each garment. Since 2014, John Galliano has been appointed Creative Director and lead one of the most appreciated and innovative brand of our time.
