Marine Serre

The young designer from Paris of class 1991 came gliding onto the scene when she won the LVMH award for Best Young Designer with her collection Radical Call for Love. The collection had come out after a series of terrorist attacks (in Paris, Brussels), and personally, she responded: Radical Call for Love was critically applauded for her wonderful collision of different worlds, aesthetically but also culturally, by the unexpected match of traditional Arabic cuts with contemporary sportswear. The young designer is keen on continuing the streak of newness and innovation, creating pieces that blur boundaries and deny categorization. Evolution is a constant consideration that is managed by the brand’s "day-by-day" approach that seeks to capture what influences us now, in present time. Marine Serre comes after Serre’s experience in a string of internships and positions at some of the biggest names in the industry, such as Alexander McQueen, Margiela, Dior and Balenciaga, and her path ahead looks bright.
